About four years ago, DJ Stress called me up to bring him some punk mp3s for a gig he was doing in Westminster (ironically across the street from the cemetery where Brad from Sublime is buried). Anyway, in the other room next to where DJ Stress was spinning was this teenage band from Long Beach rocking out. Stress and I watched these kids and were totally blown away by their talent. The lead singer, Avi, had this unreal stage presence I had never seen before. He was totally on fire, singing and play guitar like a mad man.
We hung out with them after their show and shot the shit. Anyway, I heard Avi on the radio today and I was like Yay! he is getting air play…
